The project is located on the shore of Wenying Lake in Datong, close to the city's main axis and convention and exhibition center, as a service place in the city's public core, the hotel accommodates guest rooms, banquets, catering, recreation and commercial facilities, and responds to the complex needs of urban activities with multiple functions. The total construction area is about 64,000 square meters.

The design takes "courtyard" as the theme, draws inspiration from the traditional spatial structure of Shanxi, and reinterprets the aesthetics of order of aggregation and enclosure in the context of modern cities. The central courtyard enclosed by the building becomes a buffer between the city and nature, and is also an introverted space for users to be spiritually calm. The spatial organization pays attention to the rhythm of the real and the virtual. The inner courtyard of the center is empty, surrounded by the surrounding solid volume in an orderly manner, and through the scale control of the opening and the path design of the different scenery, the space establishes a multi-perceptual relationship between facing the lake and turning into the inner courtyard. The skylight brings light into the depths of the atrium, creating a dynamic field of interlaced light and shadow, making nature an important part of the spatial narrative.
The façade is made of red bricks, paying tribute to the traditional culture of Datong and giving the building a heavy texture. The texture of the brick joints presents a flowing shadow texture due to the light projection, and the resonance between light and material makes the building obtain a permanent and quiet monumental expression.
As an important gateway to the Wenying Lake area, the hotel responds to the trend of the site in the form of architecture, connects history and contemporary with the simplicity of materials, and constructs a public space with both etiquette order and living temperature at the interface of the lakeside city.
